Panel Discussion on Terror Management, Jan 3, Nerul

From SIESCOMS

Dear Sir,

*The shadow of terror has clouded our existence; however it could not
dampen the spirit to add a silver lining to its periphery. Terrorist attacks
have become more or less a part and parcel of our personal and corporate
survival globally, and that is why the time has arrived to render a
proactive approach towards Terror Management…an approach yet to be realized…
but definitely feasible, to be shaped with the active involvement of various
stakeholders. *

*Essentially bottom-up in approach, the evening of January 3rd, 2009
promises to bring together representatives from the Police, Non-governmental
Security Agency, Media and the Corporate World, in the presence of B-Schools
across Mumbai on a common platform, in **the SIESCOMS amphitheatre at 4:00
pm **to discuss and debate the intricacies of Terror Management. *

*Moderator  **    : George Koshy  from CNN IBN*

*List of Panelists : *

*Sonal Dabral, Bates 141 Chairman India & Regional Executive Creative Head,
Asia Pacific*

*Mr.Rane, GM Watchguard Security Services and Ex-Indian Air Force*
*Mr Harish Iyer, Creative professional with event management firm Showbiz -
who reached out to all whose family members and friends were suspected
victims in the attacks.Blogger with international reckoning*
*Rashmi Dhanwani, Ex Journalist & Social Activist, Breakthrough *

*Suprita Das , Journalist NDTV Profit*

*Dr.Aakash Akinwar , St. George Hospital & who also witnessed the Mumbai
terror attack *

**

*While, drafting a charter and submitting to the Home Ministry is the
ancillary agenda, the core objective is to transcend the textbook definition
of "Participative Decision Making" to a new vertical in the quest for
finding a solution, to the greatest of all threats of our time…"Terror".*

*The event would also be our first step towards successful completion
of this special educational project on - "Other Angles - A Perspective on
Terror Management ".This would be taken up by a team of students from across
all the B-Schools in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai  (who we call our academic
partners ). It is this project that we- the batch of future Managers and
Leaders would be submitting to the Home Ministry. *

*We would be honored if you could be a part of the cause and we look forward
to your presence for coverage of the event.*

*May the Silver Lining Overcome the cloud of terror in the days to come…*

*Please help us make it a success...*
 *Subhadeep Bhattacharyya (9930421623)
(The Students' Council - Chairperson)
SIES College of Management Studies (SIESCOMS)*
